Secret stash #3

While it seems as though every other electronic blog on the web is talking about Knife Party's new release, I decided to do something special. I have made an amazing discovery, and that is Overwerk. I know nothing about them because there is virtually no information available. Magical mystery music at its best. Also I love Knife party, but I also love originality.

I love Le Castle Vania

Nobody in my opinion is creating as solid of remixes as Le Castle Vania. He keeps all of the good elements of the original song and twists it into a sweet sweet dance floor destruction. He has a way of making everything smooth like a rich virgin girl.

Le Castle Vania is the stage name of the Atlanta producer/DJ Dylan Eiland. I would love to see him live, although he apparently plays a greater amount of original works during his shows, and I think remixing is his best talent.

Fatboy Slim - Everybody Needs A 303 (Everybody Loves A Carnaval)

Man I wish I had a 303. I have already expressed my love for Fatboy Slim. I am now expressing my love for the vintage synthesizer by Roland, the TB-303. I would kill to have one of these guys, however the $2000 on ebay is a little out of my price range. Time to start hooking violently.

Video of the Day #8

BT - Rose of Jericho

Just a little follow up on that last video. It is a clip from the documentary "Better Living through Circuitry" The documentary is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone. The interview in this clip is with electronic artist BT. At 40 yrs old now, he has been doing his thing for a long time. He is a legend in the rave community. He has developed many of the techniques producers use today. He is a classically trained musician out of Maryland, who creates all of his songs by playing his own instruments and using his own voice as explained in the video. Although I do not like a lot of his music, I have a lot of respect for how he has pioneered the electronic music scene and this particular song is just bumpin.

Make your shit organic!

This guy is brilliant. The rave scene was really on to something in the past. People need to realize the purpose of electronic music and where it came from. The repetitive beats are more than just noise. This documentary is amazing! more to come from this.

Video of the day #7

One of my favorite videos ever. I will never live down missing Fatboy Slim in Argentina. My flight left two days before he played.
